This blog is for fighters.
Well, here we go.
I’m not sure where to start, so I’ll begin with a little bit about me:
You can call me the Eggbeaten Angel. I’m not really an angel, and I’m not a perfect girl/daughter/highschooler either, but I’m trying my best to be a better person. I’ve definitely never been whipped around by an eggbeater–and I don’t want to be–but it’s true that food controls my life. However, I’m fighting.
I’m 5 months into recovery for Anorexia Nervosa, and I’m proud of it. I’ve reached my goal weight, and I”m at a healthy BMI over 18.5. Mentally and emotionally, I’m still struggling, but I’ve promised myself I’m going to be a fighter. And I want to help others like me.
That’s what this blog is for.
Beautiful Without Consequence is a community for fellow fighters who, like me, vow that they will one day defeat their Eating Disorder, whether it be Bulimia, Anorexia, ED-NOS, Binge Eating–you name it. You guys are all welcome here. As long as you strive to get better, I’m proud of you, and I admire you. >:D< (thats a virtual hug, by the way)
More than that, I believe in a second chance. You may have fallen: relapsed, failed to cooperate with your nutritionist’s latest eating plan, purged again–but as long as you get back up and try again, you are a fighter, and that’s the attitude I want to see on this blog.
This blog is for
- Sharing success stories. If you’ve recovered from an Eating Disorder and you would like to inspire others or simply share your story, you can email me, and I will try to post a new story at least once every 3 days. (More information coming soon)
- Information on recovery. I am hoping I can interview a nutritionist, gynecologist, or ED counselor monthly and evaluate various recovery programs.
- Support! I will be holding I Promise sessions, when anyone who signs up will pledge themselves to a common goal, for example, not to count calories for a day(or wek).
This blog is still a baby in form, but I hope it can inspire others and grow into a large community based on support. Of course, if you have any ideas or suggestions for the site, email me!
